Hello from St. Joseph’s Indian School! I hope all is well for the two of you and that you are enjoying the beauty of fall.
In conjunction with our 38th annual powwow this September, we hosted a donor appreciation banquet and were able to silent auction your print ‘Baby Sitter.’ Enclosed is a photo of the winner who paid $550 for it. We appreciate this wonderful donation and the assistance that Matt Raab provided! Thank you!
While working at our Donor Care Center in Sioux Falls, SD recently, I stopped at the Siouxland Heritage Museum/Old Court House Museum and saw your original paintings of ‘Sitting Bull’ and ‘Kit Carson!’ I’ve also gotten familiar with your painting of ‘Chief Joseph’ on our campus. It feels as though he’s looking you right in the eye regardless of your vantage point.
I enjoyed visiting with your son, Stephen, over the phone (he is as charismatic as the two of you), and we now have an image of ‘Golden Eagle’ at www.stjo.org which, when clicked, takes you to another web page that explains that 20% of any prints purchased at www.GregoryPerillo.com will come to St. Joseph’s Indian School. We’ll be putting the same link on the Akta Lakota Museum web page www.aktalakota.org. Thank you for this partnership!
It was so delightful to meet you in June for brunch at Karen and Mike’s home. It was a blessing to me (and our son, Eric) to meet both of you! View the actual letter below.
